The Mental Health Society of Greater Victoria ("we," "us," or "our") operates the MindMap mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information and data associated with users of the App. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

All data generated within the App is stored locally on your device. We do not access, collect, or store this data on our servers or any third-party servers. This means that all information related to your use of the App remains solely on your device, ensuring your privacy.

Since we do not collect or store any user data, we do not share any information with third parties, including advertisers, analytics providers, or social media platforms.

4. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services, such as Firebase, solely for essential functionality, such as [real-time data syncing or other essential features, if applicable]. However, we have configured these services in a way that ensures no data is collected or transmitted from the App.

5. No Analytics or Tracking

The App does not include any analytics or tracking services. We do not monitor your activity within the App, and we do not collect or analyze any usage data.

Since all data is stored on your device and is never transmitted to external servers, your information’s security primarily depends on your device's security features. We encourage you to use security measures, such as a device passcode or biometric authentication, to protect access to your device.

The App is intended for general audiences and is not specifically targeted toward children. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. As we do not collect data, the App complies with Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), regarding children’s privacy.

Under Canadian law, particularly PIPEDA, individuals have the right to access and correct any personal information held by organizations. Since we do not collect, process, or store any personal information, you retain full control of any data within the App. We are unable to modify, delete, or retrieve any of this data, as it resides solely on your device.
